2010 Garden Birdwatch

This year the numbers of participants nationally was down slightly (around 530,000 people sent in records), but in Woodcote we increased the number of gardens recorded from 7 to 12! The number of species recorded in the village - 26 - was one fewer than last year.

As last year, Woodcote continues to differ from the national picture in the relative scarcity in the village of House Sparrows (first nationally, but ninth equal here), Starlings (third nationally, but fifteenth equal in Woodcote, and Collared Doves (ninth nationally, twentieth equal in Woodcote).
